bullet PmWiki
Wiki's are web site structures that are designed to allow easy editing of web pages directly from the displayed web page. In a standard Wiki site anyone who views a page can edit it (ie add content). This is particularly beneficial where there are a number of contributers to a page. This concept is applied in Wikipedia a free-content encyclopedia that anyone can edit. Wiki's also offer some unique benefits for business communication. We use a Wiki based structure for our Q & A Forum. Using PmWiki software with a couple of extra functions we are able to post responses to client requests directly to the internet providing a back to email delivery and a browser and search friendly support forum. It also provides an RSS feed directly from the Wiki posts to which anyone can subscribe and receive the latest posts without having to rely on email.

bullet Live Help
Live Help is a customer support system allowing web site operators to monitor site visitors and respond to real time visitor requests via a chat window. This is similar to the service provided by Boldchat and Live Support. Live Help is still under development and is released as a beta test version for free use. Live Help is rated at an Advanced User Level however if installation goes smoothly (which tends to depend the system you are installing it on) it would be suitable for Intermediate users.

bullet Blogger
Blogs are simply posts to web pages (from the term web logs). A blog tool facilitates this by allowing quick and easy publication and updating. Blogger is the number one blog tool and has recently been acquired by google. Blogs are often thought of as online diaries (which is sort of how they started) but their scope is much greater and they offer real benefits for business. You can use blogger to post responses to client requests providing a back up to email transmission; which is subject to reliability issues; and provide a resource for reference both by clients and staff. A bit like a chronological Frequently Asked Questions page.
