Web Form Processing Software

You can build a bit of a web form (the bit you see) with any html editor or even a text editor like NotePad. It is simply a collection of html tags. When you view this collection of html tags in a web browser you see the Displayed Form. The other bit is not quite so obvious, but it does all the work, it is the processing script. Software outlined on this page is divided into two sections Software to Build the Displayed Form and Process the Form and Software to Process the Form Only.

Software in this section provides a you with a complete working form. It includes the Displayed Form and Form Processing.

Form1 Builder
Form1 Builder runs in your internet browser and builds both the displayed form and the form processing code in one web page. It has the ability to build a fully functional working form with a couple of mouse clicks. You can also build a Designer form by selecting the required form fields or use an Existing form web page and add the form processing code directly to it. All forms developed are based on Form1 form processing, giving you a single file web form with a hidden email address and an extensive range of benefits and options. Form1 Builder can be utilized as a stand alone complete form builder or used with existing forms developed on any html editor. No cgi script is required, the form processing script is included in the web page file and the delivery email address is included in this processing script. This effectively hides the delivery email address and secures it from email address harvesting.

Form1 Builder GoldMine
This software includes the base Form1 Builder plus an additional GoldMine WebImport feature. The GoldMine WebImport feature formats the form data and adds processing instructions allowing a GoldMine database to recognize the import instructions in the email, and create a contact record with data captured from the web form, automatically. With Form1 Builder GoldMine you can automatically use GoldMine's WebImport function to add form submission data directly to your GoldMine database. It also allows you to specify the full range of GoldMine functions. This includes running duplication checks and automatic processes. Instructions for these are easily set in the form and processed when GoldMine reads the GoldMine formatted email with the form data.

Form1 Builder MYSQL
This software includes the base Form1 Builder plus an additional MYSQL import feature. With Form1 Builder MYSQL you can automatically have form submission data added to your MYSQL database. To use the MYSQL option you must have a server based MYSQL database and it must have an existing table with field names that correspond to form field names. On form submission a new record is added to the MYSQL database table and MYSQL database table fields that have the same name as form fields will include the input values from the form field. Additional form variables can be added to the MYSQL table by including a field in the MYSQL table that has the same name as the field to be included. You can also include a range of User and Cookie Variables for automatic import into the MYSQL database.

Formmail
Formmail is the most common cgi (common gateway interface) script developed using the perl programming language. Many web hosts include this cgi script on their servers and you may be able to use it free of charge. Alternatively if you have the capacity to run perl scripts on your site you could install and run it yourself. Additional detail is provided on the Web Form Processing page.
